Sunbeam F4/Roe (GAJ12) in 2011This is a former Teesside Railless Traction Board Sunbeam F4 Trolleybus. It was one of two used in the last day closure events back in April 1971. Purchased for preservation by the West Riding Transport Society it was a long term resident at Sandtoft. However, it spent a lot of time in storage deteriating slowly. Thankfully however, it is now under restoration by a Mr Price who was a linesman at South Bank Trolleybus Depot, and who is now on with restoring it. There are three Teesside Trolleybuses in preservation, two native Sunbeam F4s with ROE H30/26R bodies(GAJ12 and GAJ15) together with(VRD186)one of eight Sunbeam F4s with Burlingham H38/30F bodies which Teesside Municipal Transport had purchased second hand from Reading Corporation in 1969.
